DTN Closing Livestock Comment 10/07 16:04
Strong Demand Helps Keep the Livestock Contracts Elevated Through Monday's
Close

All three of the livestock contracts were able to close higher Monday
afternoon as traders were well supported by strong consumer demand.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

The livestock complex started the week out on a strong note as all three of
the markets closed mostly higher Monday afternoon. Again this week demand will
play a key role in the market's direction as traders are looking for
fundamental support in order to justify trading the contracts any higher as
they're up against resistance pressure. December corn is up 1 1/4 cents per
bushel and December soybean meal is down $6.50. The Dow Jones Industrial
Average is down 398.51 points.
